In the day to day events of living we are confronted by our weakness, and they have the potential to do us harm. Yet our Lover yearns for us to bring these weakness to Him, and to rest in His ability to mend, or transform these weakness. To have us see Him as our all...our all, at all times.

I agree with Shelby, "What a beautiful picture of grace. May i learn to embrace my vulnerabilities & weaknesses!"

AMEN, Chris! However it is a fight against all our natural impulses and reflexes! It costs quite some willpower to stand still when you see a 'Tornado' barrelling at you... and fight the impulse to run by trusting the salvation of the Lord!

The Lord continues, patiently and lovingly, to show me Jehoshaphat's battle plan: Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. This was also Moses' command at the Red Sea. I am often reminded of the old chorus: "Victory, victory shall be mine. If I hold my peace and let the Lord fight my battle, victory shall be mine."

Nee told the story of a lifeguard who refused to help someone who was drowning until he gave up and went under the water. At which point he quickly swam out and rescued him. Nee was quite upset with him until he explained that to try and help the drowning victim while he was still trying to save himself would end in disaster for both. The analogous issue for us, as God would not end in disaster, would be the matter of His glory.

Dear Pamela
Oh, I am delighted to see my dearest big brother Markus whom I dearly love with the love Pappa has poured in my heart, sharing on your blog today. Pam, this was not just a post, but perfectly planned even before creation for my husband is going through something very similar with rejection from our family. Pappa has already freed me into His love and freedom as far as this is concerned, but Hubbie battles very hard at the moment. Markus' words were just the ointment he needed to help to heal his broken heart. Pam, thank you fo sharing with us today.
May you be abundantly blessed and filled with love and peace.
Blessings XX

The Lord Jesus become the Son of Man, and as such He assumed the place humans were created to live, utter dependence on God. "I can only do the things I see The Father does, I can speak only what I hear the Father speak".He lived from the Father, Father was the source of all. How such dependence? He lived loved, He not only knew that was loved, He lived 24/7 in enjoyment of His Fathers' love. He said, "Father loves the Son, Father shows all things to the Son".
Adam sought independence from God and needed to hide behind figs' clothes, Jesus lived totally dependent in The Father's love and even the simple people could see that " this man speak with authority( authenticity) and not like the Pharisees (fake).

The Shulumite is compared to a lily. The lily simply is, neither toils, nor spins, doesn't make herself anything, she just receives. And Jesus said even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like the lily. Lily's source of life is a hidden mystery, and lily is simple enough to receive it!

Markus wrote:

"There is a willful choice involved in deliberately stopping fighting any more, and in letting God fight for me. I take my eyes off other people and see myself secured in, and by Him. If they treat me wrongly, I’ll fight against the hurt that I feel inside me, not against the ones doing me wrong. If I hold something against someone I am not seeing myself as being ‘inside’ of Christ, and so, I have to make a choice. Will I give room to my natural perception, or will I give room for the reality of His life in me?"

Yes, letting God fight for us and taking our eyes off the offending party and keeping them on the Son, trusting Him as the one who justifies. This is a hard lesson to learn, yet Christ is our example in all ways.

"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth." (Isa 53:7 KJ2000)

"Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." (2Co 12:10 KJ2000)

This is a hard concept for carnal man to grasp for sure, especially those of us who grew up in nations that have conquered other nations. Only IN Christ are these things overcome.
