Dear friend,
As I shared with you in my recent email, I am seeking a small group of “Guest Authors” for the Intimate Kingdom website to occasionally share some of their articles or poetry that are related in some way to the Song of Songs, spiritual relationships, and/or the Kingdom of God.
The amount of people I emailed about this is very small, and all of them were prayerfully hand-picked. And the reason I thought of you is that what I have read from you, or know of you personally, is that your understanding of the Song of Songs, and the love of God, is to a large degree congruent with my understanding as well, and I believe your heart, as it’s been expressed in your writings, would be a great asset to this website and its readers. You have been a valuable part of the body of Christ to me, and I believe we would work well together. Whether you want to contribute as a guest here or not, I want you to know that I appreciate you.
If you are interested in occasionally writing for the Intimate Kingdom blog, here are a few things to know:
What it means for you:
- Having your articles occasionally posted on the Intimate Kingdom website, and very likely sent by email to the subscriber list as well. New articles could also be announced on the Intimate Kingdom Facebook Page, and to Twitter.
- The possibility of you receiving comments and questions from readers.
- You being able to approve and respond to all comments and questions as needed.
- Linking out to your personal website, if you have one.
Preparation:
- In addition to each article, consider finding at least one featured image that goes with it.
- Before the first article is posted, please send me a short introduction about yourself. An “Author Profile” box will be added to the beginning of each article you post that will look something like this:
About John or Jane Doe
It is here that you can mention certain things about yourself, such as: (1) A blog that you might have (2) Other things you have written (3) Why the Song of Songs is special to you, etc. (4) You may also wish to mention what state/country you live in, if you are married, etc. It’s up to you – just make it brief. Nothing longer than can fit in this box.
Thoughts about the future:
It is very early in the development of a Guest Author feature for the blog, so where it goes I’m not sure just yet. I do plan, as soon as we get enough contributors (and at least a few articles per person) that the menu system will be tweaked so that Guest Authors will be seen in a more prominent way.

At the moment it is also unknown how often guest articles will be posted. I ask that you be open to the Spirit about this, and to my timing as well. I will likely be balancing other articles from other Guest Authors, so it may be that your article needs to wait until someone else’s is posted first. Or it might need to wait until a better time when a certain verse of the Song comes up.
All these details can be worked out later, as we learn to work together.
Also, if at any time you change your mind about being a Guest Author, you can ask that your articles be removed, along with the comments, and I will promptly do so.
