A Love Note on its way out (XO J&J)
Good news! The love note is in the “mailbox,” and about to be picked up. It won’t be long now before Solomon gets it. :-)
In the next post I intend to expound on his interesting response to the Shulamite. It’s so rich, and frankly I’m still absorbing how to personally apply it.
Meanwhile, I received an encouraging email from Cheryl McGrath (BreadForTheBride.com) about last week’s post, A Scandalous Mission. In it, she also shared an article she wrote about Mary of Magdala that is very illuminating, and confirming to what we see happening with the Shulamite woman as well.
All of this points to the truth that an intimate, life-giving relationship with Christ and His body is going to be discouraged and defamed by the controlling religious forces of the day. Knowing this ahead, we can be encouraged to bravely stand tall in the face of every lie and accusation.
